Description

The art of making “Antemoro” paper was transmitted by shipwrecked Arabs.
whose boat beached in the south-east coast of Madagascar.
As the trees they traditionally made paper with did not grow where they decided to stay and live, they taught the Malagasy how to make paper with the barks of the “avoha” tree.
“Avoha”, another richness provided by mother nature to our beautiful island.
Avoha is a small tree that grow uniquely in the southern part of Madagascar.
What was at the beginning only making simple paper, has become an art thanks to the creativity of the Malagasy artisans.
The papers are decorated with natural flowers to create exquisitely unique works: cards, photo frames, candy boxes, bags and more.

Art Land has chosen this historical material to create these bags embellished with fern leaves that grow profusely along our bumpy roads.
Totaly ecofriendly, their handles are made of braided raffia
